The Weekend & Assorted Nonsense...

It was a chilly weekend. Alex asked if we could have a fire in the fireplace. With a blizzard warning in Amarillo, you never know - maybe we too could be in for a winter storm. No. Suffice it to say, it was cold. We happily remained at our humble abode, playing with the boys and watching PBS cooking and home shows...

...It was a warm weekend. It felt like spring. Church. We finally made it back after being absent two weeks with sinus issues and kiddie colds/fevers. The grass was cut. Windows were opened. The smell of grass and fresh spring air filled the house. Mmm. I prepared a yummy homemade southwestern chicken noodle soup. Michael Buble was singing in the background (I always need to be serenaded with old standards when I'm cooking to optimize my cooking performance). Alex played with a buddy the entire afternoon. Ayson slept.

It was a good weekend.

Playtime on the deck.

Ayson calling Alex who was playing at our neighbor's house.

After dinner play.

Studious play.

Alex got to have his bedtime stories outside on the deck.
