Brrr in Texas & Ayson the Only Child...

I love cool weather, and frankly would be thrilled if that was all we ever saw here in Texas. This past weekend was chilly and windy providing us with the rare opportunity to break out the sweaters and hot chocolate. Driving home from church, we caught that yummy smell of wood burning in someone's fireplace - it was that chilly! Some snow would make it even better, but a girl can only ask for so much!
Alex loves his hot chocolate on the lukewarm side!

Ayson's first time ever in a sweater!

Monday Alex was thrilled to get to spend the night with Nanny & Grampy! What lucky little boys Alex & Ayson are to have one set of grandparents so close by - such a treat for them. With Alex gone for the evening, it gave us ample time to spend with Ayson. For a brief few hours he experienced a little of what it might be like to be an only child. It's good for him to occasionally not have to be vying for parental attention. He was still happy this morning though when Alex came walking enthusiastically through the door. He heard Alex's voice and came running! Brotherly love at it's best!
