Summertime & The Living Is Easy...

Okay, so technically it's not actually summertime, but if it was, I'd love it if it were just like today. Our lawn is looking sweet (minus a few parts in the side yard & immediate back yard which are shady & bare). The front beds have lovely hot pink periwinkles, newly arranged lantana, and some cool black mulch has been added which really makes the flower colors pop. Today was one of those lazy summer-like afternoons. While it was warm, it wasn't stifling. That's good. We set up the kiddie pool in the early afternoon for the boys to splash in. We didn't quite fill it up early enough for the water to warm up to a comfortable temperature, but the boys still had a blast. Dips in the pool. Popsicles. Icy water. Playing with the water toys. Laying on beach towels strewn across the deck. All the while A.J. and I kicked back on our lawn furniture and enjoyed watching our boys.

Alex showing how big he is getting. A whopping 32 pounds. Success is coming - ever so slowly.

Popsicle break!
