Happy Mother's Day!

A few things my mom has taught me over the years:

  • Your children come first!
  • Always read your recipes twice before beginning cooking/baking...
  • Never pull a canoe in to shore if someone is still standing in it...
  • Ballet really is better than tap.
  • Daughters always stay close to their parents, not matter what...
  • It's cool to know the music your kids listen to.
  • Never let your dog drink the water out of the Christmas tree stand (especially once the tree food has been added)...
  • Some people want to be indian princesses when they grow up, others want to be on the Mickey Mouse Club...
  • Always finish what you start.
  • Read your Bible.
  • It's okay to sometimes be a little naughty.
  • Say "I love you" to your kids a lot.
  • Go to your kids school and extracurricular activities.
  • Chocolate covered peanuts and french burnt peanuts are to die for.
  • Exercising is fun when you have someone to do it with you.
  • Use coupons & be a smart shopper.
  • Let your kids get dirty when they're playing occasionally.

You get the idea...there are hundreds of things I could share that my mom has taught me, but there simply isn't that much time in a day for me to do so!

To the very best Mom in the world - my truest kindred spirit - and the best Grammy - I love you loads!! :)

Me and my nutty Mom!
