The Camping Weekend That Was...

Alex & Ayson are sleeping sweetly in their beds, recovering from a very busy weekend of camping. We left for home late this morning with two content little boys (and two very tired parents!). We had a lot of fun biking a few trails and around the campground, as well as just hanging out with A.J.'s parents who were camping right behind us. How lucky the boys are to be able to have fun weekends like this with their Nanny & Grampy! We are all spoiled!

The day we arrived it was warm and humid. After dinner that evening Nanny pulled out the desserts. Ayson who was sweating and sticky (from drinking a Capri Sun all by himself!), got his very first Drumstick. He was infatuated with it - the ice cream, being able to hold the cone by himself, etc. If he could talk more, I'm quite sure he would say it was delectable!

There were some Cinco de Mayo celebrations around the campground over the weekend. Saturday afternoon they had a pinata outside for the kids. I'm not sure if it was the weather or just not a lot of kids camping this past weekend, but Alex was the only kid to show up! But that didn't stop the camp personnel from moving forward with the activity. So, Alex went to town hitting the pinata all by himself, and taking all of the loot! Perhaps Cinco de Mayo is Alex's new favorite holiday celebration! :)
