Easter Sunday...

Easter was laid back this year. It was good though. The boys awoke to find their Easter baskets resting on the fireplace; and Alex hunted for eggs indoors since it was raining. There was enough time between the bunny side of Easter and going to church that Alex in particular had time to get over the elation of candy and goodies, and was excited about going to church. We like that he is aware of the spiritual reason we celebrate Easter in addition to the hoopla that surrounds that crazy bunny. Actually Alex has been aware and interested in all of the Holy Week events and what they represent - he's a smart little guy. Later in the afternoon the skies cleared and Nanny & Grampy stopped by with Easter baskets for the boys - these boys are so spoiled! Ayson was so excited he started clapping his hands when he saw the basket. True to Ayson though, he pretty much wanted to chew on the eggs or throw them. We finished our day with a humble Easter dinner - Alex said it was his second favorite part of the day. :) Easter brings all sorts of sweet little surprises I guess. :)
