Electricity, E-lectricity...

We have been in need of groceries since my parents left. But we've had so much busy-ness that I have only done the bare minimum to keep us chugging along. A few days ago I decided to go ahead and make my big grocery run only to realize any and all of my grocery shopping spots were either closed or running at minimum capacity due to an electricity outage (which had apparently been going on all day).

I drove through the HEB parking lot and saw a woman wheeling a cart with groceries out to her car. I was thankful they were open. Then Ayson and I went inside...
All of the refrigerated sections were completely blocked off with carts...
and there was no cold produce, dairy or meats on any of the shelves...
no lights (except for the natural light coming from the skylights) no friendly shopping music, very few shoppers...crickets chirping...it was eerie. Notice, as A.J. pointed out, they left the Velveeta out..what does that say about that product? :)

Of course I was unable to complete my shopping, and had to put the remainder of it off for another day. Sigh. :)
