Another World...
One of the books Alex got for Christmas was a follow up to My Side of the Mountain (which he devoured last fall) by Jean Craighead George, called On the Far Side of the Mountain. He picked it up for silent reading time and simply could not put it down...
He read it all through his lunch and afterwards. Two days later, he is well over halfway through the book, and is already asking for the other book in the trilogy as well as a few other adventure-type books. I love seeing his little bare feet curled up under him at the table while he sits, completely immersed in another world...
