The first two and a half weeks of summer vacation is bringing a challenge to my creativity and activity calendar. It's taken the boys and I a little time to get used to our "school's out" mode. I've finally begun to start lining up play dates for the boys, Alex has been having fabulous golf lessons complete with a spanking new golf bag for his clubs (courtesy of Nanny & Grampy), and Ayson is enrolled in Little Gym. What have we been doing to eek by over the past two and a half weeks though?
We've been trying our hand at a few crafty-ish things. Like this tunnel for example - I even bent the wood myself - woo hoo - and now Alex uses it on his little rug with his Hot Wheels.
We finally got out the water slide for Alex & Miss Kylie to play on. They are crazy nuts when they play on this thing. I'm so glad we got this last year - it was so worth money! I'm not sure why Alex put his hand on Kylie's head or why he has on goggles for that matter...? :)
As for this little man, he's been quite busy. Trying to grab a drink from the lawn sprinkler (Oh to have a sprinkler system! But that's another post!) as seen in above photo, eating Play Doh, learning to pedal his tricycle, playing on the playground set, and long afternoon naps - he's got a rough life! :)
Next week we're heading north to Ohhhhk-lahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains (imagine me singing that in my Broadway voice)...Yes, we're giving Oklahoma a try for a camping vacation with the boys. We're going to Robber's Cave State Park in the southeastern quadrant of the state. It will be our first real camping vacation since getting married and having kids so I'm sure it'll be quite the experience.
