The Basics...

Today was Alex's final golf lesson. Ayson and I ventured out to the learning facility & joined Nanny to watch Alex's final hour of practice. Alex seems to have gotten a grasp of the basics of beginning golf. It's good to see him enjoying himself so much, and having fun in a sport that he can play for a lifetime. We're grateful to Nanny & Grampy for enrolling Alex in the golf summer camp - Alex loved the lessons and his time with Nanny!

Along the path to the clubhouse are a number of old tractors. Ayson spotted them right away, so before we went to see Alex we had to stop along the way to check them all out. The John Deere was his favorite, and the newest of the tractors believe it or not!

Apparently cleaning ones clubs is a lot of fun! Before a quick putting competition, the kids spent five minutes making sure their putters were nice and shiny. If only I could transfer that enthusiasm to keeping toys, shoes, socks and other miscellaneous items picked up around the house!

While Alex has done well with his chipping (actually got first place in one mini-competition), lets just say that putting is not exactly his strength yet. He rushes through putting as though he's pushing a hockey puck across the ice, barely taking his club off the ball. It's so cute. :) He took last place in the putting today - he was fairly nonplussed about the whole thing but when he received a practice putting cup as a prize for taking last place, he was psyched. :)

Little boy heaven, and a good photo op to boot!

Wow, golf lessons! I want to learn :) Since I'm very un-athletic and have almost no hand eye coordination this might be more of a challenge. It's so get to get them started early. Can't wait to see how the swim lessons go for Ayson :)
