We managed a total of four picnic lunches this past week - two on the upper tier of the deck, two on the playground set. With A.J. working over the weekend, and Alex's neighbor buddy out of commission due to poison ivy, we worked hard to stay cool and entertained. After this weekend, I can now say with certainty that we are extremely grateful for: picnics, shade & shade sails, Slip N Slides, & kiddie pools (note to self: be sure to buy bigger kiddie pool next year before Memorial Day or they will be all but gone!), Netflix, Popsicles & homemade fruit smoothies, Play Doh & Moon Sand, very pleasant evening temperatures. I'm ready for a new fresh week again. Today brings our termite treatment. Alex is excited about watching all the action that this entails - this might actually rate up there with watching the tractors redoing the roads in our neighborhood!
Somebody need to inform ole blue eyes here that it's summer break now so he should be sleeping in, not waking up earlier!

AJ is a very skilled Play Doh craftsman. I'm impressed.
