We promised each other that we were going to try to relax on our little getaway. With that in mind, we've only done one non-beach-related activity thus far. The rest of the time (when
Ayson wasn't napping) we've allowed ourselves to be beach bums. We visited the "Dinosaurs Alive" exhibit at the Moody Gardens. Since one of Alex's interests these days is dinosaurs, we couldn't not go. It was a fun little exhibit with a sort of Jurassic Park type appearance, geared toward the kid crowd. The dinosaurs were of the
animatronic variety. The blinking eyes, moving bodies, and odd growls and burp sounds kept
Ayson's attention quite nicely. The look on his face when he realized the first dinosaur was moving was priceless.
Every time we'd approach a new
dino,
Ayson would point to it and say "big." We're planning on heading back there, this time to their Discovery Museum, later in the week. I know the boys will have a blast there.
Knowing that the majority of our time has been at the beach so far, you won't be surprised to see "more of the same" beach pictures. Tomorrow I promise to have a little more variety...but you'll still have to put up with a few beach pics! :)

What could be more fun than digging a giant hole in the sand? I'm almost certain this is one of Alex's favorite beach activities. He'll probably be in mourning when we get back home and the reality hits him that he can't dig like that in our yard!

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get sand out of every nook and cranny on a little kid's body??
Ayson did this a lot. A moment of reflection? Taking a quick rest? Only this little guy knows!
It's a good thing the boys like bath time because they're getting their fair share this week!

I think Ayson is just laying there studying the beach. It looks like he is examining whatever that is in his hand. Great photos. I want to go to the beach!!
