Our first activity of the day was a brief trip to Target where we picked up a couple of swimsuits for A.J. We were laying in bed after our alarm clock (Alex) awoke us and it dawned on A.J. that was the one thing he'd forgotten to pack. Swimsuits purchased, we made our way to the beach with the boys. I'll admit we weren't sure how long we'd be there since we were uncertain as to the boys reactions. Fortunately they both loved it. Alex went from playing in the water, picking up little shells, to building sandcastles, and back in to the water again. Ayson splashed in the water and liked smothering himself in the sandy goo close to the water.
We took a lunch break at McCalisters. Yum. Ayson really impressed us by feeding himself applesauce with a soup size spoon for the first time and actually getting it in his mouth. We praised him for his success. Then he promptly plopped his left hand firmly in to his little bowl of mac and cheese and stuffed it in to his mouth like a little cave man. To complete the cave man picture, he then took the cheesy hand and ran it through his pretty blond hair. Nothing like melted saucy cheese gelled to the side of his head. Nice.
After lunch we took the boys back "home" so Ayson could take his afternoon nap. Meanwhile, before going out for another round of beach time with me, Alex kicked back in his bachelor pad and watched a quick cartoon. The kid has got it rough!
And after dinner the boys hung out on the balcony and enjoyed watching the water while digging in to that American classic treat, the Drumstick! Mmm.
Whenever Ayson eats an ice cream cone he always looks like he's foaming at the mouth. :)

I love McCalister's! Isn't that where we ate a couple of times in Arkansas last year? Looks like you guys are having a blast!
