He now has what I imagine is one of the only customized John Deere kiddie mowers. It was great as it was, but Alex (and A.J.) are kings of making things even better. Thanks to Daddy, Alex got this handy attachment added which actually came off A.J.'s big John Deere mower. He was very eager for me to not only sit outside in the 100+ temperatures and watch him "cut" the grass; but he was also encouraging me to say that I thought his was the best kid's lawn mower ever. It reminded me of his Uncle Ben when he was a little guy. Ben would come home from shopping with Mom for shoes and parade in front of me with his nice new tennis shoes. After only a few minutes he seemed to not be able to take it any longer and would say, "Erika, aren't my new shoes nice? Do you like them better than yours?" At the time it drove me crazy, but now I find amusement in those memories, especially as I am revisited with them with my own little boy. I will speak frankly though and admit to you that Alex truly does have the best kid's lawn mower ever. Don't you agree?! Do you think it's better than yours?? :)
