Remember when you were still in school and the last day rolled around? Remember that feeling of excitement and sheer anticipation of freedom that was awaiting you as you walked out the school doors? This afternoon as I walked in the doors of Alex's school I could sense the very same energy. It's funny to me that even little kids catch the vibe. The halls were noisy with kids happy voices and giggles. I loved it - it was such a happy sound - and it made me happy. I'm excited to have Alex home all summer long. We'll have fun things to look forward to this summer: play dates, vbs, birthday parties, vacation to the beach, trips to the zoo, playing in the pool. Those "lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer" are pure magic to kids!!
