Last night was Alex's first night of VBS. While he had an absolute blast, he did get home late (for him) and didn't end up asleep until almost 10 pm. I knew he'd sleep pretty hard and [hopefully] sleep in late. By sunrise (5:30 am) Ayson was awake and ready to go. While Alex continued to sleep, Ayson and I went outside for some early morning playtime. We might as well be out early because once afternoon comes and the heat is on us full force you aren't going to find us outside unless it's in the water (& realistically that isn't going to happen every single day). It was sort of nice being outside so early in the morning. The fairway looked lovely with the sun peeking up over the trees, and you could hear the birds songs coming from every direction.

Once in a rare while I get a really good picture of Ayson. This was one of those rare times!
Around 7:30 a.m. Alex (& kitty) peeked his sleepy little head outside, and he joined us for a while. He is such a happy boy when he wakes up. I wish I could be more like him in that respect. So cheerful and ready for whatever the day has in store for him!
