Dear Honey,
A couple of weeks ago I noticed your shampoo was nearing the bottom. Next time Ayson and I made a Target run, I stopped down the soaps/shampoo aisle to replenish your supply. I'm positively certain that Ayson was standing in the basket of the shopping cart blowing those embarrassing toot noises in to his hand, and of course that distracted me greatly. You know how that is - it takes several reprimands and the threat of a "Target time out" before he stops sometimes. Well, like I said I'm pretty sure I was distracted...the whole harried mom thing. Well, this morning as I was in the shower something compelled me to pick up the bottle I had gotten you. I think because it was a different shaped container than the one you used to have. Anyway, I happened to look at the label for some reason and I realized I made a small purchasing error. Have you noticed your hair is not as easy to work with since you started using the new bottle? Does it fall flat? Does it not feel as clean? Well, I should probably let you know that I realized you've been using body wash on your hair - not shampoo. Oopsie! I promise I'll pick up some new shampoo today. In the meantime you can smell like an "ocean breeze" with your new body wash! :)
Love,
Me

I hadn't noticed which supports my theory that all beauty products are pretty much the same, but some have ridiculously high profit margins. I'll keep shampooing with body wash. Don't waste any money buying another bottle with the same blue goop in it with a different label.

Earlier this year I was putting what I thought was Johnsons' Baby Lotion on Cason. It was a pink bottle and everything. I noticed his skin was still dry even after several days of applying the lotion. Turns out it was baby body wash. I did notice it didn't rub in very well but that darn pink bottle fooled me!
Funny!
I wish my husband wouldn't care so much what kind of shampoo he uses. He takes longer than any person I know in the shampoo isle. He insists on picking out the perfect type for his hair. Shampoos for curly hair or fighting the frizz just don't cut it for him :) It must pay off though since he does have a full head of hair :)
