As is typical here in Texas, we had incredible spring-like temperatures just days before Christmas, followed by cloudy, chilly, more wintry weather just in time for Christmas eve. Temporary spring fever hit the two boys. They rode bikes. They wore no jackets. They made an odd sort of fort out of their bicycles down the hill, and on the other side of the water pipeline that now temporarily marks the boundary of our yard. And last but not least...they enjoyed a fine picnic! Only in Texas can you do this one day and then be wearing full winter protection gear the next!
