From A.J.'s early childhood in Massachusetts comes this humble little culinary piece of Americana. If you ask A.J. he'd say the sandwich is as American as peanut butter and jelly. Over the years he has indoctrinated both Alex & Ayson in to the Fluffernutter club, and as a result we find ourselves consistently needing to have a jar of the fluffy stuff in the pantry at all times. Tell tale sign that your loved ones have had a fluffernutter? Sticky white fluff at the corners of the mouth! I won't say much though - I have some bizarre tastes too...I like my pb & j sandwich with potato chips on it. And the only way I'll eat a bologna sandwich is if it is slathered in mayo and topped, again, with lots of potato chips. Are you as weird as we are?

I don't remember ever using the fancy term "fluffernutter" growing up. It was always just a Peanut Butter and Marshmallow sandwich. Was our mom so ahead of her time that we were eating this culinary delight before it received its commercial identity?
I bet the marshmallow cream is good with Nutella too. Might have to try that one.
I have to have chips in my pb & j too. The bologna sandwich wouldn't work for me though since I can't stand mayo :)
