Modern Technology...

The other evening as Alex was laying in bed A.J. began telling him how different things were for people back in the 80's and early 90's.  What phones were like.  The fact we had no email/internet.  Alex was amazed that if we needed to find a phone number we would actually look it up in a phone book.  It's amazing how fast time flies, but more so technology.

So yesterday I walked out to get the mail.  When I returned to the comfort of our air-conditioned home, I perused the pile laying on the counter in the kitchen.  Title Nine catalog.  Some computer things for A.J. A few pieces of miscellaneous junk mail.  And then...what's this? Something from the City of Burleson? I opened it up and it was from their "Automated Red Light Enforcement."
Yes, that would be me in the left lane in the mini-van.  Proof positive for A.J. and I to see that I had run a red light on July 20th at 2:27 p.m..  A.J. quickly began an investigation to determine whether he or I had been driving at the time.  After looking at his own schedule and then listening to my defense that I rarely even go to that end of town especially at that time of day, he logged on to our online checking on that particular day and time and noticed a pharmacy transaction.  Drat!! It was me!! The only "at leasts" I can say are: the light had been red only very briefly, and I was going below the speed limit!

I hate modern technology!!

I feel your pain - I got caught there too. I was on the other side of the intersection and turned right on red without stopping. I thought it was kind of yellow/orange, but that darn video showed otherwise. I'm not very fond of that light now!
