Snow Day...

This is what four "snow days" looks like here in north Texas... (warning: be prepared to scroll! Lots of pictures to follow!)

Days One, Two & Three...

Monday night we got the sleet and we maintained temperatures in the upper teens giving us several days of sledding (which we did every day)! :) A.J. and I had as much fun as the boys!
This classic Speedaway sled with the metal runners was perfect for the inch or two of  sleet we got.  Taking it down the hill on the golf course we typically went a little over 100 feet!

Alex enjoyed doing donuts on the driveway.

Day four:

Thursday evening it was announced that school would be closed yet again! Alex has practically had a winter break! Over night we got about 2 - 3 inches of packable snow.  Not only did we do more sledding, we also made a cute little snowman standing guard in our front yard.  Can it get any better than this?? No!

Now that looks like fun! We haven't seen a sled with metal runners like that for a long long time. We had forgotten what kind of snow you need to use one of those. Better go back out again today and have fun!
