Feels Like 1 Degree...

You wouldn't think this would be the forecast for someone living in the state of Texas would you? It currently is a chilly 18 degrees outside with a wind chill of 1 degree.  How odd it is to see temperatures this cold here in Texas!

Due to a nice thick ground cover of ice, topped with a pretty layer of snow, Alex got to stay home from school today.  And as it turns out, school has been cancelled for tomorrow as well.  The winds were howling last night and this morning.  You could tell it was bitter cold.  When Alex awoke at 7:30 a.m. he was beyond excited.  After eating breakfast he and Ace wanted to go outside and play.  After getting Ayson suited up he only stayed out for about three minutes.  He was no fool! He was ready to stay inside! Alex definitely has some Minnesota blood in him however - he was outside for a good 45 minutes with his sled going down the hill in the back yard.  He's a trooper! So we were able to have some kick back time as a family today (except for social Alex who went socializing next door for the majority of the afternoon!).  I love winter in Texas - fun weather for a few days and then, look at Super Bowl Sunday - 53 degrees!
The view in to the "cubby" from our bedroom! A winter wonderland!
Happy winter y'all! :)
