Snow It Goes...

Sunday was the day for our first big winter weather event for the year! We went to bed Saturday night with great expectations of 3-5 inches of the fluffy white stuff, but by the time we woke up our friendly meteorologist had downgraded us to maybe 1-2 inches at best.  It ended up being more like 1/4 inch (that might be a bit generous).  Even with that meager amount the boys were itching to go outside and just be in it! Alex tried hard to use the sled down the hill in our back yard, and was actually able to make it go about 20 feet - that was good enough for him! A.J. and I stayed in the warmth of home and enjoyed just watching huge - really huge - snowflakes falling to the ground.  I'm still hopeful for a little more winter weather before winter ends for us! What a way to spend part of our weekend! :)
