Such A Deal...

I've never been to Grapevine Mills before...that is until Friday.  It's not the Mall of America or anything, but it is a great outlet mall.  I've not been one to have much luck shopping at outlet malls, but this time around Ayson & I went with my friend Malinda & her little Cason.  Malinda is the bargain queen - she's got the knack.  She will find the cutest things and when I ask where she found them, the response is often Marshalls, Big Lots, Ross, TJ Maxx, etc.  How is it whenever I go to those places on my own I don't come home with good finds? This time around I got really lucky.  We targeted our shopping to most of the children's stores - jackpot! I was able to pick up lots of long sleeve shirts (some for as little as $1.99) for Alex for next year as well as a few things for Ayson.  We had a shopping good time.  Now I know what it feels like to get a good deal - lots of them actually!

We had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, a place I thought Ace would really enjoy.  In the dining area there were aquariums and animatronic-type rainforest animals throughout.  Every few minutes they would come to life, making noise and moving.  Shortly after being seated next to two friendly-looking elephants, the animals all came to life - and Ayson got big eyes, got out of his seat, crawled in to mine and covered his ears.  He did not like it at all.  As a matter of fact he stayed on my lap, ears covered, throughout the meal - I fed him! With kids you just never know!

On our return home Ayson and I were about 20 minutes away when Ayson said his back hurt.  That was weird. He seemed tired and it had been a long day for him, so I called A.J. at home to see if he would mind Ayson staying with him while I picked up Alex.  As we were talking on the phone I hear Ace make a coughing sound and I look in my review mirror to see him throwing up in his hand.  He got sick all over himself - I felt so awful for him.  I drove as quickly (but safely) home as possible and A.J. and I went full throttle in to action cleaning poor little monkey and the van up.  Oddly enough he only got sick the one time.  As a matter of fact within a few minutes of getting out of the shower, he was pretty much up and running again.  The resiliency of kids blows me away sometimes!
