Last Saturday we took the boys to a benefit baseball tournament between various law enforcement and emergency-related service teams at the Joshua City Park. It was for a young JPD officer who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive stage 2 Hodgkins lymphoma. While the reason for the tournament was a serious one, the day was a blast for everyone involved. The boys watched their first baseball tournament and got really involved yelling, "Go Joshua!" really loudly while munching on popcorn, nachos, hotdogs and downing sodas and water (we were there a long time!). When we got home the boys brought out their batting tee, baseball gloves and balls and practiced hitting and catching. Alex gave enthusiastic play-by-play commentary of his swinging and catching which made it all the more entertaining.
When we got home, I was getting ready to take a shower when I heard voices on our back deck. I spied A.J. and Ayson truly kicking back and having a conversation about beards. As you can see, Ayson was quite focused on the subject...
