Bright & Early Saturday Morning...

We took both boys to The Colonial. Alex had been to the tournament a couple of times previously, but this was the first time Ayson came along. Going to a golf tournament is a long day for anyone, but it can be especially long for a five year old. We broke up the time stopping off at the fan tent where the boys got to test their driving skills at the Nike spot (and getting more free balls) & I looked at overpriced golf apparel...

Then we made a stop a while later at Henry's Hideaway where the boys could sit, play games and eat lunch...
Playing video games before lunch.

And then of course we watched some golf too...
Here are the boys at the edge of the green on the 16th hole...and Ayson is losing steam fast.
Before we'd been there 10 minutes, Ayson was laying on his side looking like he was about to call it a day and start napping. Even as balls dropped from the sky just feet away, he was not phased. After about 45 minutes and looking bleary eyed he looked up at us. A.J. asked him if he was ready to go home, and the answer was a definitive "yes." Alex was really disappointed, but his spirits lifted when it started pouring rain. Then even he was ready to go home! Overall it was a really fun day. It's the first time I've ever been to The Colonial where I was not slathered in sun screen and sweating, so it was a most excellent weather day. And we all got to hang out and have some family fun together. I love days like this.
