Yes! Yes it could! After school on Thursday, the boys headed outside and had homemade flags to "assist" in directing traffic for the workers across the street. They got noticed very quickly by the guys, and one went over to his truck and came over and gave both boys work vests and sunglasses. Now it was official! Could it really get any better than this??
Absolutely! The icing on the cake came Friday morning. Alex and Ayson were outside, suited up and ready to direct traffic again (they were taught how to hold their signs and signal with their hands) by 8:00 a.m. After an hour or two (literally), one of the men came across and asked if the boys would be allowed to come across the street to watch the digger fill in the 7 foot deep pit they had dug. They were there talking shop and getting to know the men's names for about a half hour before they were led back across the street to our house. We're talking heaven here, folks.
The rest of the afternoon was spent directing traffic. Sadly, today they put the finishing touches on our neighbor's property. And although I know they are probably glad to have all of the work completed, we had two boys in mourning over the loss of their entertainment and buddies leaving! Thanks to these men for being so professional, patient and great with our little boys interest in their jobs!

That is so cute! They will probably remember that forever. Why can't all workers be as kind and professional as that?
