Yesterday, we took the boys down to Granbury for the Santa Fe District Pinewood Derby. None of us knew exactly what to expect. We just assumed Alex would get to race his car a couple of times and then we'd head home. Instead, Alex actually won first place in his scouting group (Wolf) and then ended up being in the finals for all groups where his derby car eventually lost. It was a "thrill of victory, agony of defeat" experience for him, but all in all it was just a lot of fun. I'll let a few pictures tell the story...
