Sugar Cream Pie Revisited...

Paying homage to Indiana, and in the name of all things sickeningly sweet, creamy, and oh-so-good, I give you the recipe for the sinfully scrumptious Sugar Cream Pie!

*1 1/4 c sugar
*1/3 c flour
*pinch of salt
*small handful of corn starch
*touch of vanilla
*1 c whipping cream
*1/2 c milk
*a few small dots of butter
*nutmeg

*Whisk first 4 ingredients in bowl.
*Add cream, milk & vanilla - beat well.
*Pour in unbaked pie shell (take the time to make a pie crust, it'd be sinful to use the horrid pre-made crust - ugh)
*Dot butter on top & sprinkle with nutmeg.
*Bake @450 for about 10 minutes, then lower temperature to 350 and bake an additional 25 or so minutes (or until filling is set).

**Cool the pie completely - it can be a bit too rich if eaten while still warm, so we prefer it actually cold out of the fridge.

Oh! To fully get in to the Hoosier spirit, while partaking in your little slice of heaven, you must let your ears  feast on this dapper little tune!

Bon appetit!
