Meet & Greet Bonus...

Thursday evening we attended a "meet and greet"  for US House of Representatives candidate Michael Williams at a local dining establishment.  Besides the fact that Michael Williams is a solid candidate and has a great political resume, he also has a really great back story.  A.J. had a great time getting to know him.  It'll be interesting to see if Williams remains consistent in what he says he stands for during his campaign...the jury is still out on that for the time being, and it's still in the very early stages of any politician's campaign.  We'll watch.

We actually made it a family affair and brought the boys with us.  That was very risky on A.J.'s behalf.  I questioned him before leaving, "Are you sure you want to bring the boys with us?" From past experience I knew he was opening himself up to potential ornery little boy behavior at a most inopportune time.  But he was willing to give it a go.  Amazingly the boys were good beyond belief - they shook hands, didn't make toot noises with their hands to their mouths, they were well-mannered in every way, and they even ate what they ordered at the restaurant.  Wow! Let's hear it for the boys!! :)
