Every Which Way...

The weekend has been crazy busy.  We've found ourselves coming and going virtually non-stop.  Friday Alex was at home with strep throat.  We were home bound, but that didn't mean we didn't have a lot going on...

Saturday mid-morning A.J. went to the ground breaking for our fair little town's new fire department.  He took Ayson with him to give me (and Alex) a quiet break at home for a few hours.  Ayson had a major blast, and Alex and I got in a few good games of Stare, Connect Four and dominoes.  I'd forgotten how much I enjoy playing board games!

By evening, Alex joined A.J.'s parents at their house while Ayson and I headed over to Alex's elementary school for their fall festival.  I felt so badly that Alex wasn't able to come, but seeing as I was scheduled to man the "soccer web" game for a while I figured Ayson and I might as well go and have a little fun.  While we were busy there, a half mile down the road, A.J.'s fundraising event (that he and the citizens police academy group have been planning for months) for our police department was in full swing.  It was a hectic day and a busy evening.  Now that it's over with, I think we're both feeling a sense of relief - at least a little bit - that we've got some big activities out of the way.

It's Sunday today.  *Deep cleansing breath.*  A little time to relax before the week starts up again!
