Alex had his very first field trip Friday! He and his class spent the day at Henrietta Creek Orchard in Keller. He had a blast but was disappointed they were not able to actually do some apple picking (due to being destroyed by some wind storms, believe it or not). Still, he learned a lot about how nature works which is fun too. It was a soggy day thanks to all of the rain we've had over the past two weeks so he got to wear his new fire truck rain boots. That was almost as much fun as going to the orchard if you ask Alex. We got his boots the day prior to the field trip and when we got home he thought it was prudent to break them in. Fortunately we had plenty of nice, big, sloppy puddles for him to play in. He came in at one point and requested that I take his picture next to his off-roading vehicle (aka one of Ayson's tricycles)...
