The First Day...

It wasn't until Alex's first day of kindergarten that I realized that I actually don't even remember my first day of kindergarten. I remember events in kindergarten, and I even remember my kindergarten graduation and last day. Just not the first day. A.J. doesn't remember either. That's why I've got good photographic records as well as videos of my little man's first day. He may forget this day as he get older, but he can always look back on what we've recorded for him!

The first day was a good one for our little boy. He was really excited. And because he'd had the opportunity to visit his class room and see where he'd be sitting, where his cubby was, etc. I think he was very at ease going in and getting the show on the road. Mommy and Daddy did well too. No tears. It certainly was a sentimental time as a parent though as you realize your sweet little boy is hitting a new milestone in his life!

Scenes from his day...

Alex at his table, beginning a fun-filled day!

Alex and his fabulous teacher!

As A.J. and I walked in to the school to pick up Alex, we happened upon his class getting their pictures taken in the entryway by their teacher. Such a cute little group they are! It's hard to believe, looking at them as they are, that the majority of them will grow up in school together. It'll be fun to look back at this picture in the years to come! There are 16 kids in the class, but one of them clung to her mommy and the other one I cut off by not centering them well! oops.
