Welcome Christmas...

Grateful. That's how A.J. and I felt Christmas morning at 6:00 a.m. when the boys excitedly clamored into our bedroom. Grateful that we had managed to log in 8 1/2 hours of sleep - that's what happens when you're under the weather and go to bed at 9:30 the night before!

Our hot cups of Christmas joe in hand, we gathered around the tree and watched as the boys took turns opening Christmas gifts. It was a bit more of a big boy Christmas for Alex this year with fewer actual toys and more things that appeal to his love of all things "boy" - adventure, the great outdoors. We found so many things (for both boys actually) at JM Cremps. Both A.J. and I love this place.  It's a "for boys" only place - sort of a kid's Cabelas meets Army surplus meets LL Bean meets Mardel. Highly recommend this place!  And Ayson was thrilled with his Playmobil sets, Switch 'n Go Dino, his dino Dreamlite, and his Jingle All The Way Story Buddy. Interestingly, as much as he loves his Dreamlite, when he gets in bed he wants it turned off...??? He's a quirky little guy!

After the elation of all the opened gifts died down a bit we enjoyed some breakfast burritos and our final Advent time. Things mellowed nicely and the boys were drawn back to what Christmas day for our family is really all about.

But the Christmas festivities weren't done yet.  We still had our afternoon at A.J.'s parent's house...
