Wednesday after the boys were picked up from school our activities went in to overdrive. After making sure Alex's homework got finished, Ayson and I quickly headed to his golf lessons. It was my first time going with him and I ended up having a blast. His lessons are more fun-oriented than Alex's with little games and geared more toward littler kids; and unlike Alex's lessons, the parents actually participate as well. After his lesson, we dined al fresco at In-N-Out over by Montgomery Plaza. Can I just say, if I had to pick a fast food place, they're one of my faves. They have simply the very best burgers and fries I've had. Seriously. I digress...
While Ace and I were golfing, A.J. and Alex went to the 237th birthday celebration of the navy (put on by our very own highly ranked NROTC). Alex looked so cute in his little Cub Scout shirt, and got a lot of comments on it...he's in very good company...
They clean up well don't they? My handsome men!
The highlight of the evening for Alex was a rifle routine. It went on for nearly five minutes which sure seems like a long time for something with rifles, but A.J. said it was really impressive to watch too.
Alex and our mayor watching the rifle routine.
They had a wonderful time, and Alex came home excited that he got to meet a state representative as well as one of our U.S. representatives. I'd love to know what adventurous dreams Alex has tucked away in his head after spending an evening like this! :)
