The Old New...
A.J. and I have been discussing that we're going to need to "de-clutter" Alex's room again. He is a collector of many things - rocks, papers that he has made in to airplanes or drawn an invention on, pencils, stickers, you name it. These things start to take over his room. So for him, "de-cluttering" means throwing away junk, and organizing the remaining things (again). With that discussion still virtually hanging in the air, A.J. and Alex climbed in to the attic to bring down Christmas decoration goodies. Minutes later, Alex appears in the kitchen with a box and an excited grin. It was A.J.'s Erector Set from when he was Alex's age. So much for "de-cluttering" right? :) This isn't the first time this has happened - I recall an almost identical situation two years ago here. Anyway, Alex spent all afternoon yesterday building his first project from the Erector Set directions - a dump truck with a plow - and did a great job doing the majority of the work by himself. I told A.J. we should have wrapped it and re-gifted it to him for Christmas! :) So, we've added to Alex's toy supply!
