Going, Going, Gone...

I hate having a garage sale.  We haven't had one in probably two years.  I love getting rid of all the extra items that have cluttered closets, drawers and toy chests/shelves - but I dislike the process of sitting outside all day watching people look through our things.  And I dislike it still more if, at the end of a sale, we have a lot of things left over.  If it weren't for the fact that we seem to be consistently lucky in our sales, I'm certain I'd dislike garage sales even more.  Well, we had a garage sale this past Friday and Saturday with two friends.  Among the three of us, we had a great sale with loads of kids clothes and toys, along with a few "only in Texas" items, like our friends giant horns from a long horn cow.  Ayson was able to have a few playmates around for the day which was fun (even though he ended up in multiple time outs for naughty behavior) for him.  After two full, long days we closed down the sale with the majority of our things sold, a substantially less cluttered house, and some extra cash to boot.  And it was fun hanging out with some friends.  Maybe I don't dislike garage sales so much afterall!

The night before the garage sale and still a lot of pricing to do! This was only the tip of the iceberg - we had a lot more to sell by opening day!
Ayson and Camryn ate donuts, watched morning cartoons and played while we worked hard and had some fun outdoors on our chilly garage sale day!
