Get It Moving...

There's nothing like getting your day going early. After breakfast, the table had been cleared and we broke out the Play Doh. We almost made it without Ayson stuffing a handful in his mouth - all to have it come back out again, complete with an expression that said "Ick!" I told him it would be "yucky." I only know from previous experience myself (when I was about four years old). There is something about the smell of Play Doh that just enticed me to sample a small bite. If you haven't tried it yourself and are curious, I'll tell you it's very salty - enough so that I didn't try it again. It was interesting watching how the boys played with the Play Doh...

Ayson wanted me to flatten out pieces and then he would follow up by sticking his chubby little finger in it. He does the same thing to his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Odd little habits these little creatures have...

From the time Alex first began playing with Play Doh, he's either flattened it out to drive his little Matchbox & Hot Wheel cars on, or he'd cut it with little plastic scissors into little bits. That makes a nice mess believe me. This time he was using this little plastic ruler-type thing. He said he was baking little tiny cookies...

Play Doh time can only last so long. After that we took a walk (or at least one of us did!) around the front nine of the golf course. The boys zoomed across the cart path on their gator always remaining about 15 to 20 feet ahead of me. Our little walk was unforeseen by me. I thought the boys could just play out on the fairway since the course is closed on Mondays - but things have a way of changing sometimes. So I walked along the cart path in my bermudas and flip flops. I would not recommend this attire for brisk walks around lengths of the golf course by the way!

Happy trails!
