The Fourth...

It was that one time each year when we let the boys stay up way later than we normally allow.  And we let them run around like wild children to the music of Vocal Trash.  They were breathing hard as they ran around the stadium field, their cheeks flush with excitement and energy.  They performed odd patriotic dances, twirled their glow sticks, and amazed us with their acrobatic feats. They were running on fumes, but like the Energizer bunny they kept on running, and running, and running.  It was quite a display...as were the fireworks.  One thing I like about going to our hometown fireworks is that in watching them from the stadium stands, we had an additional vantage point that enabled us to simultaneously see the Burleson fireworks as wells as a few other displays.  By the time we made it home, the boys were ready for bed, and we wasted no time getting them in to their pajamas and tucking them in.  Another successful and fun July 4th.  :)
Ayson and Alex with their pal, Cason (and his parents came along too).
This would've been a fun family picture if our whole family was in it.  Ayson was a toot and would not cooperate - alas, it's just the three of us!
That odd patriotic dancing I mentioned? Well, this guy was king of his own little flag jive! :)

A patriotic free dance...in the land of the free, of course.
I can only imagine what these guys are going to be like when they're teens! :)
Here are those acrobatics I mentioned!
