For those who know Alex, he is very late at losing his teeth - he's had a couple that were extracted at the dentist. He's still got his top two front baby teeth - you can see where his permanents are, but they are very slow pushing their way through.
The other evening he was eating pizza when he grabbed at his mouth and claimed to be in pain. I sort of blew it off, but he showed me that it appeared to be loose. Well, the very next day as we were heading to Fort Worth for the boys' school, he began munching on a pack of shortbread cookies I'd gotten for him at Starbucks. Within a few minutes he shockingly yells, "My tooth is gone!" Out it had come! It was funny because in less than 24 hours, it went from not even being noticeably loose, to being completely gone! He was thrilled!
Ayson had been furiously wiggling his loose tooth for a couple of weeks. A couple of days ago after lunch he was showing us how loose his tooth was. While he didn't want to attempt to pull the tooth himself, he did offer up the job to Alex or me. I simply couldn't stomach doing such a thing. Alex, on the other hand, was more than willing to give it a go...
He tried twice before stopping, claiming to be "getting creeped out" by it. He left Ayson's tooth pretty much laying across his lower lip - ugh - and Ayson just picked it off, exclaiming victory at finally having lost a tooth. He thought he was hot stuff! :)
I love these two monkeys!! :)

I can't pull teeth either!! It creeps me out. I'm not sure what I will do when Cason has a loose tooth. The dentist told me his were no where near coming out so maybe I have a year or so to avoid it. It doesn't surprise me that Ayson would be totally brave about it!
