It all has invaded our house over our two inaugural weeks of homeschool - the clash of the best and the worst, the amusing and pathetic, the happy and cranky, the good and the naughty. Alex has been pretty even-keeled, though there were a few instances of moans, groans and deep sighs (aka: attitude). Ayson continued to be amenable to his lesson times and activities, but oh the behavior! One for the record books this week. Just plain ornery, sassy and challenging. For him the week's main lesson ended up being more about behavior than anything else. Thankfully, we ended the week on a good note. We packed our things and headed to the park at 8:00 a.m. to have classes there, along with some play time. It was a substantially better day.
I'm praying like crazy next week is a better week with behavior and attitudes (apparently the boys spent the majority of their summer break saving up all of this for the first couple weeks of school)!

Full moon and surging pre-teen hormones have gotten us already this year. The best thing about tough days is that we mommas will love them through it, rearrange our schedule to make a task seem less daunting or abandon it for the time being. School can't do that! Good, bad and ugly, what you're doing is worth it!
