Finally! Five!

Happy 5th Birthday to my Ayson!!

After about two weeks of asking when he'd be five years old, it finally happened! Yesterday he really did turn five! And after all of the "When will I be five?" questions for days on end, yesterday he actually seemed surprised that he was five "for real."  As a matter of fact, he asked for multiple times, "So I'm five? Right now?"  And then his chest puffed out with pride, and I swear he started trying to talk with a "man" voice.  He's such a funny kidlet! I love how big a deal growing older is to the little ones.  You'll never catch a grown up saying, "I'm 39 and a half!" Ha!

So, tonight he gets to have his annual "Birthday sleepover" at Nanny & Grampy's house.  Just him and no big brother! He's super excited because he knows Nanny will have his bedroom all decorated with balloons and with a new pair of jammies! :) While he's off continuing the celebration, A.J., Alex and I will go out for sushi tonight.  Alex loves sushi, but we have not taken him since Ayson's not in to it as much.  So this will be a fun treat for the big kid too. :)

Tomorrow, in what will be the last of the birthday celebrations, we're planning on meeting his birth mom and some of her family at the zoo or the science museum (depending on the weather).  That'll be a nice ending to his celebration.  Five years old! I can't believe how fast he's growing up! :)
