Minnesota, You're Breaking My Heart!

Okay, so what's the deal Minnesota? Where's all the snow? We're coming up to visit you soon and are going to be beyond disappointed if we don't see some snow, and quick-like! You do realize we down here in Texas have recently been through a record-breaking heat this summer and an [still] extreme drought? Frankly we deserve a little snow during out visit up there, don't you think? We want to scare ourselves silly (and risk minor bodily injury) sledding down the giant sled hill by the Mississippi River! We want to build a snow fort and make a big jolly snowman in Grammy & Grandad's back yard! We want to make snow angels! We want to feel the icy numbness on our necks when we get clocked in the back of the head with a snowball! We want to munch on icicles! We're counting on all the Minnesota meteorologists to be wrong on their "no snow" forecasts - and we're keeping vigil on the Weather Channel! Come on snow!! :)

A Christmas past in Minnesota (2001)
A quick break in the warming hut to refuel with some cocoa & then head back to the hill.
Dad & Mom! They've got spunk!
Looking up at the big sled hill. Sigh.
That yellow creature with the outstretched arms is A.J. - the other clowns are two of my brothers! Good times! :)

We've done our best to deliver on the snow. It just isn't good enough! Just think, a brown Christmas is a fairly treat here in Minnesota, and you have the joy of experiencing it with us!!
