Try It, You'll Like It...

After a rockin' frog-themed birthday party at a friends house and then a sleepover at A.J.'s parent's house Sunday evening, I picked the boys up Monday morning.  They piled in to their respective car seats, dressed in their swim suits, tees and flip flops.  "Are you guys excited about your very first swim lesson?" I asked with anticipation.  Ayson confirmed, and then Alex, who up to that exact moment was actually looking forward to them, did an about face.  Apparently he had been coerced in to taking them.  He talked and whined and moaned at great length about us forcing him to take the lessons and said he had only agreed to watch Ayson take them.  Between us parents, he was given a choice in the matter and actually said - and I quote, "Aw, what the heck? You can sign me up Mom."  We continued on to the house where the boys would be taking their lessons and approached the open back yard where the lessons were taking place.  I could see Alex immediately softening.  As their lesson began, Alex relaxed and began to have a, dare I say it, great time.  He can already swim under water so the lessons are not a big leap for him.  Ayson had a good time too as long as he could see me.  He tried to make a break for it a couple of times but one of the teachers would nab him and keep him occupied in the water.  When lessons were done Alex was actually disappointed and wanted more as did Ayson.  It's a good thing they like their class so much, because they have them until the end of next week! :)
