The Wild Life...Fossil Rim...

Last Friday our friends Malinda and Cason invited us to join them on an early morning adventure to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose. Up until then our closest encounters with wildlife have been at the Fort Worth Zoo, the Fort Worth Stock Show or any variety of petting zoos. This trip took it all to a whole new level for Ayson and me! 

It started off fairly quietly with us encountering mostly deer, an ostrich or two and elk. Midway through our trek we took a break for lunch and visited a small petting zoo area before getting back in the Jeep for the second half of the trip. The second half was such a surprise for us as we came face to face with some awesome animals - giraffes, zebras, more elk, antelope, etc.  - it was such fun. I can't wait to go back again with A.J. and Alex. Thanks Malinda and Cason!
