Everyone Loves a Parade...

Even though we're no longer part of the local school district, we still found ourselves a bit wrapped up in homecoming fever. Alex loves a celebration and since his cub scout troop had decorated a float for the homecoming parade, we knew beyond a shadow of a doubt where we were going to be Friday at 1:00 p.m. You guessed it. The homecoming parade.
 Rockin' to the marching band.
Ayson running up to Alex on the float to give him "5."
My handsome little scout!

Since Friday was also Ayson's birthday, he got to have his annual birthday sleepover at A.J.'s parents. So we decided to let Alex have his best bud over for a sleepover and go to the homecoming game. They had such a blast watching the game. Alex is like me however - a fair weather team fan - if they're doing well we're cheering loudly, but after the opposing team had already scored two or three times in the first quarter to our one, he was already calling the game. :) He was right on target I'm afraid.  But he had a fun time enjoying all things homecoming.
